– Short Description: ARCHA-TOR PASS TREK = what many experienced Kyrgyzstan trekkers say is the FINEST ROUTE near Karakol — beautiful and far less crowded than Ala-Kul. The route goes through dense Tian Shan spruce forest into the upper Archa-Tor Valley (archa = juniper). The pass at 3,500m is unmarked. MERGES with the Ala-Kul route near Jeti-Oguz — can be combined for a 4-day circuit.
