 – Short Description: Costa Rica’s best Caribbean coral reef (600 hectares of marine park). Snorkelling on the reef (hire mask from Cahuita village). 2 park entries: Kelly Creek (FREE, trail only) and Puerto Vargas (USD 10, beach + reef access, camping). 4 species of monkeys, 2 species of sloths, white-faced monkeys are very visible along the trail. Green and hawksbill turtle nesting Jun–Oct. Reggae culture, local Afro-Caribbean food.
