– Short Description: CHON-KEMIN VALLEY = one of the most BEAUTIFUL VALLEYS in northern Kyrgyzstan — a wide, green valley flanked by the Kyrgyz Ala-Too range to the north and the Kungey Ala-Too to the south. The CBT guesthouse network here is excellent. HORSE TREKKING through the valley to Song-Kol via Kalmyk-Ashuu Pass is popular. EN ROUTE to Issyk-Kul: most Bishkek-Karakol travelers pass through here. WILDLIFE: the valley is a corridor for snow leopard + ibex between the Tian Shan ranges.
