 – Short Description: KYZYL-OY (1,200m) = a beautiful CBT village in the KARA-BUURA CANYON on the Bishkek-Osh main road. The village is surrounded by extraordinary red-brown canyon walls — looks like a smaller version of the American Southwest. GOOD CBT GUESTHOUSES here make it a popular stopover. DAY HIKE up the canyon walls gives views of the Suusamyr Valley plateau above. The passage from Kyzyl-Oy up to Suusamyr plateau (1,500m vertical climb) is the most dramatic section of the M41 highway.
