– Short Description: RATSEK HUT (3,450m) = the Soviet-era alpinist base camp for Ala-Archa’s technical peaks. Basic but functional — bunks + stove. Starting point for: Peak Semenov-Tyan-Shansky (4,895m, technical), Peak Komsomolets (4,320m, moderate climbing), Uchitel Peak (4,527m). On clear days from Ratsek: the view back over Bishkek + the entire Chui Valley stretching to Kazakhstan is extraordinary. ALA-ARCHA GORGE from above = one of the finest alpine panoramas near any capital city in Asia.
