 – Short Description: Mid-route hut on the Arista del Sol (Ridge of the Sun) normal route to Iztaccíhuatl. Metal building. Used as gear-up point: put on helmets for scrambling above, check crampons. From here: Las Rodillas (5,050m) → traverse Ayoloco Glacier (del Vientre) → Arista del Sol → El Pecho (5,230m summit). Full route from La Joya: 12–14hr round trip. Helmets + crampons + rope essential above this point.
