FREE, first-come stone hut accommodating 40–60 people on 3 floors of wooden bunks. BYO sleeping bag, mat, food, and ALL water. Pit toilets outside. Jamapa Glacier normal route: depart midnight, 6–10hr to summit (5,636m). Summit: crampons + ice axe + rope essential. Glaciers are real — crevasses exist!
