 – Short Description: Sian Ka’an (‘Origin of the Sky’ in Maya) — UNESCO World Heritage Biosphere Reserve. 526,000 hectares of tropical forest, wetlands, coastal dunes and coral reef (3rd largest reef on Earth). Manatees in channels, jaguar (rare sightings), crocodiles, 350+ bird species, sea turtles nesting. The Mayan canal network still visible. Much more accessible from Tulum than it appears.
